the bear turns 1!

well, in 3 days, but with father's day being next weekend, we decided to celebrate the birthday girl early.


we had a small get together with snacks and cake and it went wonderfully! nola had a blast with people and toys and balloons and her tutu ;) she was in the spotlight and had no issues with it!! she had no idea what to do with the cake, and had more fun smashing her cup in it than her hands.


avery had a blast sucking the frosting off her cake and trying to sneak ways to get more pieces.


she also had a blast snuggling on the couch with gramps :)


i'll have a much more lengthy post on wednesday for nola's real birthday, but couldn't let tonight go by without posting some pictures from our bear's special day :) if i wasn't so tired tonight i'd make a kodak album, but it's been a long weekend and sleep wins.

all in all, i think nola enjoyed her day. and so did we.
