it's finally spring! the calendar has said it for a while, but now the weather is catching up :) we threw together a last minute barbecue yesterday and had a few neighbors over that have kids in 1st grade (and one almost in kindergarten). it was such a great way to celebrate the warm(er) weather and see people we haven't had a chance to hang out with while we were hibernating this winter.
these kids. they are simply awesome. the girls are so amazing with madden. he's enthralled with them and is honestly such a good baby.
nola's tooth has been wiggly for a while, but one day last week when i picked her up from school it was literally hanging by a thread. it didn't take long after we got home for it to finally drop out of her mouth :)
avery was showing madden one of her games on the tablet :)
Easter outfit, handsome boy.
the girls learned how to ride their bikes within a day of each other, and to celebrate they had some ice cream with as many sprinkles as they wanted.
first time in the swing at the park--loved it!
the Easter Bunny heard that the girls were riding their bikes and got them bikes that fit!
silly morning breakfast conversations
bitzer loves coming with me to get madden up in the morning and usually jumps up in the crib and roams around purring.
nola got a bucket-gram, so we celebrated it by getting some ice cream. while we were there, we ran into the girls' friend, avery, and they set off by themselves to enjoy their treat.
our neighbor let us have their old excersaucer and after a few weeks where madden wasn't quite big enough to enjoy it, he finally fits and loves it. he especially loves the red bird and talks to him regularly. just the last few days he's started to reach for the other toys that are hanging.
madden loves talking to zane. he can be quiet with me for a while, and then zane arrives and he coos and gurgles for dad's attention.
in desperate times, baby einstein comes to the rescue. madden loves watching the videos on youtube and it buys us 20 minutes of quiet. the girls love it too.
nola had a playdate with our neighbor addie. they had such a blast together without their big sister's around. success!
dying eggs
zane has been experimenting with his facial hair for a few months now. it has started to come off in phases, and before he shaved the sides a bit more, the girls wore their own mutten-chops to match.
grammy and madden on easter
the crew at linda and david's for easter
family pic!
one night when i was getting a bath ready for madden, the girls wanted to help and started undressing him. he loves their attention!
the girls and zane have one more week of school before april vacation. mema comes next sunday to stay with us for the rest of the school year! i go back to work on the 27th and as much as i'm already missing my one on one time with madden, it will be really good to have my paycheck back so we won't be as stressed about money. we'll just have about 8 weeks until the summer, so there's a light at the end of the tunnel ;)
