madden turned 6 months this past weekend and is more fun than ever! he started rolling over on mother's day, and now, two weeks later, can roll all over the floor to where he wants to go. he's close to getting up on his knees, and is also not far from sitting up on his own. he nearly reaches for people either to switch who is holding him, or to be picked up.

a little blondie?
he had been sleeping from about 7pm-7am for a while. i went back to work and maybe it was just coincidence that he stopped his great sleeping and slowly deteriorated to waking up every couple of hours (at the worst point). i would nurse him each time he woke up, assuming he was going through a growth spurt. now it seems like his new routine (which will change immediately, i'm sure) is to go down around 7:30 after a bottle and quick nursing session and wake up around 11pm and 3am to eat and then wake up for the day anytime between 5:30-7. he's also stopped screaming every time we put him down in his crib, either because he's not as hungry or because he's growing up. i usually put him on his belly, and he either doesn't move and drifts off to sleep, or he flops around for a little bit while he talks until he puts himself to sleep. either way, it's better than the screaming we were all getting used to hearing everytime someone would put him to bed for sleep.
he is such a sweet baby, and i'm so excited to see how his personality comes out more and more in the next few months. can't wait for the summer to be here and to have lots of time snuggling and playing on the floor. the girls only have 4 more weeks, zane and i have almost 5. i have a feeling they are going to be slow weeks...
