5:15am, the good edition

we were awake again at 5:15. this time, avery was the early bird. nola followed shortly after at 5:40. i was sitting downstairs, being a grump, when zane came downstairs, equally grouchy. we headed out in the 99% humidity and took a walk with the girls and dogs to get coffee. amazing, it lifted our spirits tremendously. we started our "new" day, made breakfast, played with the girls, put nola down for a morning nap (she's reverted back to 2 naps a day-probably because she wakes up before the sun) and got so much accomplished. wonderful turn around to an oscar (the grouch) worthy start.

the girls had so much fun painting our chalkboard with water. i think avery could have stayed there happily all day if she didn't have to eat. or share. or sleep.

don't know if she was genuinely tired at this point or if it was just a fun, new perspective.

avery set these props up and took the picture all by herself. while zane was working on the new desk for the girls, avery and i made name tag magnets for the chalkboard. she must have been proud of the outcome ;)

the finished product to REALLY be proud of!! zane worked off and on all day to finish the drop down desk part to the orginizational extravaganza in the sunroom.

success! the girls love it. and so do we.

rounding out the day is nola playing "trot trot to boston" with one of her favorite dolls.
