random tidbits from today.

-avery isn't feeling 100%, which means she's extra snuggly. boo for colds, yay for snuggles.

-when nola gets a cold, she gets a cold. her poor face gets red. her eyes look miserable. her nose runs like a faucet. but she's a trooper. she plays and smiles and hugs and eats.

-in the car tonight, we were listening to avery's cd of kids songs. i looked in the mirror and saw (and heard a tiny bit) her singing along to "and the green grass grew all around". and she did amazing with it!

-the realization that the holidays this year will be so much more enjoyable and relaxing than they have been in 3 years!

-avery's going to be 3!! how the HECK did that happen??

-nola just started calling our cat by her name: "rheee-ooooh" (cleo), pretty cute.

-avery wants a piglet cake for her birthday. (and i'll have eyeore and nola will have tigger.)

-nola says "french fry" almost clearer than any other words she knows.

-i went to the library today after zane got home to do some research for my final project. it was heaven. quiet, warm, organized, peaceful. and just an hour away made me refreshed and ready to dig back into being mom. and i did so until avery hit me in the face during a time-out and i handed over control to zane ;)

and now it's bedtime.
