so happy st. patrick's day to everyone who enjoys green beer :) in lieu of going out to celebrate, zane and i made our own festive drink at home last night. i'm not sure either one of us finished it, but that's beside the point...avery is on sleep strike #89. since last wednesday night she's pretty consistently woken up just about every hour or 2 at night. i'm cranky as can be, zane is being as patient (with both avery and mom) as can be but if tonight isn't a turning point, i think we're both going to lose it :) i've heard that there is a 4 month growth spurt...i've also heard that babies go through growth spurts at any time, not dependent on how old they are. so...maybe we're growing, maybe we're working on teeth, maybe we just realize that we have so much fun during the day and it's scary and lonely to wake up in a dark, cool room at night (even if we're not even 2 feet away from mom's side of the bed...) whatever the case may be, say a little prayer that we get a 2 hour (or more) stretch of sleep sometime soon

I'm sorry to hear she is not sleeping. I know that is the worst. I know when A was that age we had to let him cry it out. 2 nights of 40 minute crying. Then he would sleep better than he ever had! We also thought it was teething, etc. but he really just wanted to see us. Basically she likes her parents!! And wants to be with them… Can’t blame her for that!

If she is drooling a lot, wanting to chew on things, and is possibly slightly warm she is teething. Going through a growth spurt is also a possibility or perhaps it is both. I feel for you both....Kendall was like that for the first 7 1/2 - 8 months of life...I had toothpicks holding my eyes open. Hang in there...I am sure all will resolve itself! :)
